Monty and Phyllis Adams began their flute and harp collaboration in 1979 at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C. Instantly recognized for their fresh, innovative style and repertoire, the duo were called upon to perform at corporate events, galas and other prestigious events honoring Heads of State and celebrities including the Queen of Morocco, Frank Sinatra and Beverly Sills.

Nationally recognized for their recordings "Opera by Request" and "Universal Peace," the Adams have been featured on National Public Radio’s "All Things Considered" and on WNIB Classical 97.1 FM. They have been featured artists on several WFMT’s programs, and on WTTW Channel 11 "Sunday Evening Club." Monty and Phyllis have both performed with the Chicago Symphony. Since 1983, Monty has been a regular member of various CSO chamber ensembles. Phyllis has been principal harpist for the Milwaukee Symphony for many summer seasons and is currently the artistic consultant for Venus Harps, the leading harp manufacturer in the world.
